Series 17 - Chain, zip-open along the outer radius

1. Quick opening and closing by means of zipper band
2. Small pitch for quiet, smooth running
3. For high acceleration
4. Zipper can be lengthened and shortened at any chain link
5. Interior separation with separators and full-width shelves possible
6. Mounting bracket with integrated strain relief possible
7. Also available as Zipper E-tube Series R17

Series 17 is suitable for the following types of applications:

Vertical: Hanging applications, standing applications
Horizontal: Unsupported applications �� 1 m
Circular movement: Rotating application possible, if necessary with reworking (from 180�� rotation angle mechanical reworking is always necessary)

When to use Series 17

If quick opening is required - like a zipper
When many connection options are required (Quicksnap, Quickfix, etc.)
If very quiet running is required
When an aesthetic design is required

When not to use Series 17

When the individual links are to be openable
Series B 17 E2 mini

Unsupported length

The unsupported length depends on fill weight
X axis: unsupported length in m FLB/FLG
Y axis: fill weight in kg/m
Lower scale: travel S in m
FLB = unsupported with permissible sag
FLG = unsupported with straight upper run

Reference example A:
fill weight = 0.75 [kg/m]
unsupported length FLB = 0.75 m
travel = 1.5 m

Option 1 �C Separators They are used if a vertical separation of the chain interior is required. Standard horizontal interior separation Series 17.1 to 17.4: with separator, slotted 172, for Series 17.5 to 17.7: separator, slotted 174, both for combinations with full-width shelf 111.X. As standard separators are fitted every 2nd chain link.
