Dummy robot

A very high acceleration provided an enormous challenge for the design engineers of this robot. To test the protection of pedestrians at the front ends of cars, the test objects need to be fired onto the front end with a catapult. The catapult accelerates suddenly to approx. 5 km/h in only 0.03 seconds. This challenge was resolved with a triflex® R energy chain, which, for this application, guides two hydraulic lines, compressedair hoses, including 15 data and control cables.
