MadCat and XRV-05 are the first prototypes of radio-controlled vehicles, both in a scale 1/5, referred to RC cars. They are applied outdoors and need to be resistant to dirt, mud and snow. The first version operated with metal bushes, which corroded and oxidized quickly. Plastic bushes from igus® are maintenance-free, dirt-resistant and have a low weight. GFM-0608-04 bushes as well as GTM-0612-015 starting discs have been installed. This combination guarantees a continuous linear movement, water-resistant shock absorbers and high wear-resistance.
