The cables from a competitor which were used earlier had collapsed.

The cables used before retrofitting could not withstand the existing temperatures of -5 degrees Celsius. Since the temperature resistant chainflex® cables have been used, the larger-than-life LED screen at Victory Plaza in Dallas works in heat, sun, rain and snow.
To ensure the high data volume for perfect images even after several million cycles, the temperature-resistant CFLG.6G chainflex® fibre optic cables are being used in the facility in Dallas, which can be operated even at temperatures of -40 degrees Celsius. The cables are successfully tested at the igus® test lab in Cologne for over 20m in the energy chain. Just as the fiber optic cables, the chainflex® control and motor cables also fulfill the high requirements in terms of temperature and low abrasion. They were successfully tested at igus® for millions of cycles.
