15 e-chains®

Travelling column milling machine

This large milling machine uses no less than 15 igus® e-chains® in all travel axes, the stroke cabin and tool changer. The e-chains® are arranged double in the y-axis to achieve as small a cable length as possible. The e-chains® in the x-axis are integrated in the machine bed to protect them from high dirt loads caused by the material removal. They are also mounted double on the side underneath the x-telescopic covers.
