This awarded sailing boat, the “Seascape 24”, is equipped with a steering system that rests on igubal KARM-10 joint heads. The boat is equipped with a twin rudder and needs a reliable connection between tiller, motor shafts and rudder. Seascape 24 is a fast sailing boat for short- and one-hand sailors. A precise steering is important to control the power of the boat and to guarantee a safe and fast sail turn. Due to the ergonomics of the cockpit, an individual tiller was required to drive two rudder blades – which allows the 3D movement to be absolutely free of play and operate with a minimum coefficient of friction. Stainless steel joint heads quickly corrode in salt water and lead to unpleasant discolorations on the white bottom of the cockpit. All requirements could be fulfilled with igubal® products.
