Portal system

This newly developed portal system allows workpieces from linked machining centres to be loaded and unloaded. A linear portal supplies up to 7 machining centres over 40 metres of travel with workpieces. e-chains® from igus® are used on the different axes for a high level of dynamics coupled with a very long service life. One special feature of the portal system is its integrated energy efficiency thanks to the profile roller energy chain P4.32 which requires a much lower drive power than comparable applications on account of its lower rolling resistance.
