Edge-jointing unit

This machine connects a CNC machining centre with 5-axis technology to an edge-jointing unit, permitting new design options for furniture. The edge-jointing unit is pivoted using 5-axis technology for this purpose, so that machining and coating with edge strips can be carried out at any angle. To prevent any limitations during machining, at least two full rotations in both directions must be possible. The routing of energy, data and supply lines is a great challenge here. The challenge was mastered impressively using the compact and flexible igus® twisterband.
