Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglidur® i9-ESD

The laser sintering powder iglidur i9-ESD has a electrical resistance of 10⁶to 10⁹ Ohm. This makes it electrostatically dissipative (ESD), and at the same time reduces the risk of unwanted discharge currents between sensitive, electrical components. This makes it ideal for applications in the electronics and semiconductor industries, and especially for electronic connectors.

When to use it?

When antistatic components with medium conductivity are needed
For applications under water or with high humidity
When components with high stiffness are required
When black components are required

When not to use it?

If I need ESD parts with better conductivity (→ iglidur i8-ESD)
For worm wheel applications (→ iglidur i6)
If the application requires a food grade material (→ iglidur i6)
If the application temperature is higher than 80°C in the long term (→ iglidur i230)
