Tolerances and measuring system
The installation dimensions and tolerances of the iglidur® bearings depend on the material and wall thickness. The moisture absorption and thermal expansion are decisive for the material. Bearings with low moisture absorption can be installed with a small bearing clearance. The following applies to the wall thickness: the thicker the bearings, the greater the bearing clearance must be.
Installation
iglidur® bearings are press-fit bearings. The inner diameter is set with the corresponding tolerance only after pressing into the locating bore. The press-fit interference can be up to 2% of the inner diameter. This ensures a secure press fit of the bearings. Axial or radial displacements in the housing are thus reliably avoided.
